Time difference

Living in the liminal space between time differences, here is a poet’s world of emotions, as she navigates an unfamiliar landscape of in-betweenness and otherness –from her writing desk to a walk around the most mesmerising lake in Beijing–where words are always out of reach.

These are intimate poems of tender disquiet. Echoes of history and displacement can be felt rippling outwards from the core of each poem, where currents of grief and desire surge under the surface. time difference quietly disrupts notions of memory and longing. – Nina Mingya Powles
